Hollan Creek Creations
Photography
Hollan Creek is not a location but the combined last names of my children, and I hope my creations leave them a leagacy they will be proud of; as well as a piece of art you will treasure forever.
I started looking through the lense of a camera when I was a child, taking pictures of just about everything that crossed my path. My father, who worked for Canon USA, helped me develope my love for photogaphy, by gifting me my first Canon camera. I loved that camera! It was a Canon Snappy 35mm that could go under water. I still have it to this day, but after many trips to the beach, it has more sand in it than my children's sand box. Once I proved myself resposible enough, I was graduated to my first professional camera by way of the Canon Rebel EOS 35mm and a couple of lenses. That was in the early 1990's. Since then I have developed and trained my eye to seek out the ordinary and extraordinary in the world. I want to bring that to you.
For many years I have toyed with the idea of selling my work. Being too afraid of failure, I stayed in my comfort zone, gifting my work to friends and family and doing portrait sessions just with them. That all changed in 2009 when I decided to take a leap of faith and put myself out there and Hollan Creek Creations was born.
I am rarely without camera in hand. I shoot nature and scenic; children and family portraits; sports portraits; weddings and special events.
